First course and in need of help

[iris]

Iris walked in shyly. She double checked her schedual, then checked it one more time. The professor was lecturing at the front of the room, so naturally Iris chose a spot toward the back. As quietly as possible, she walked around and sat down pulling out the text book she had recently purchased as well as a binder of paper. Opening the book and taking out paper she began taking notes, even though she had no idea of where they were or what the lecture was about, even by the smallest means. Looking around she hoped someone would at least suggest where they were, or what was going on that particular day. She also noticed the lack of students, Iris had expected a lot more people to be there, but there were only a few. She prayed the professor was kind, and hope that someone would speak up and help her soon. Her hair fell in front of her face and subtly she brushed it aside with her hand.

[Tommy]

Tommy came in the door, got a 'your late' look and went to the back by Iris. "Hey, what a bitch" he said looking at the teacher. He had no clue who this girl was but he didn't care, he talked to people he didn't know a lot of the time and then, sooner or later he knew them and everything worked out. "Sexy" he whispered under his breath, he had a tendence to whisper things about the person he was talking about, he usually whispered them to himself very quietly.

Alex entered the room while the teacher had her back turned and quickly approached a seat right in front of Iris. "Hey, how's it goin'?" She smiled at the girl that she had recently become friends with. Her gaze traveled and she saw Tommy. A smirk crossed her face and she turned back to the front.

She grew tired and crossed her legs under her desk. She had changed clothes after a kid had spilled paint on her earlier. She was now dressed in a short denim skirt, a white tanktop, and one of those partial overshirts. When Alex grew bored, she slid her feet in and out of her sandals.

She turned back to Iris. "I don't think this gets any worse."

[Tommy]

Tommy just sat there, wondering why this girl was following him everywhere. "Hello, sexy whore dentention giver" he said putting his hand out and smirking. He figured they are kinda friends, more a kind of flirty friends though. Tommy then leaned back and carved his name into this desk. He finished before the teacher caught him this time, except he got a double detention for abusing school property. Great, his first day and he had dentention after school today and tomorrow.

Alex turned around to look at him. "You got yourself into that one." A smirk planted on her face. "And are you always as easily infuenced by your friends?" She adjusted the sraps of her tank top and actually took notes in this class.

When the teacher turned and asked her a question, she answered flawlessly. Another kid in the front decided to turn around and tell her to shut up. She was at a loss for words for an instant. She shook her head and rolled her eyes. She was bored, after this, she would go swimming. She felt like cooling down.

[Tommy]

"Yeah, so?" he siad and then added, "Who says your my friend?" and smirked. Yeah he did think of her as his friend now, but he wasn't oging to admit that to her face. "What else is there to do here except get detention and be bored?" he asked hoping there was a bar or something to get his mind off how bored he was.

[Alex Johnson]

She rolled her eyes. Why did guys always have to be stubborn. She was pretty straightforward. If she liked you, she spoke to you. If she thought you were cute, she dressed nice and actually did her hair. She told you how it was no matter what. She looked back to him. "I can always stop talking to you." She had meant is a threat, but her eyes gave away that she was playing.

She thought for a moment about the what to do thing. "Well, you can eat, drink," she had the urge to put and be merry on the end, but she didn't. "Go swimming, sports, skating.." She finally just stopped with the list. She looked up quickly and wrote something down.

[Tommy]

Tommy smirked but then looked back at his desk to see what else there was on it. "Naw, just keep talking, it distracts me from-" he said but then stopped. He was going to say it distracted him from looking at her brests but he decided he better not if he wanted to keep this friend.

"Oh, sounds like a party" he said sarcastically and then went back to reading his desk, even though Tommy was the only thing carved into it.

She gave a small smile. "I like to spend my free time on the beach. If you can't find me, there is a good place to look." She sighed as she looked at the board and wrote some more stuff down.

She kept glancing at him. He seemed to be kind of embarrassed. She found it funny for a moment, until she realized that she actually liked him. She didn't want him to feel like crap. "Is there something wrong?" Her brown eyes reflected her feelings as she spoke.

[Tommy]

"Who said I would ever want to find you?" he asked laughing a bit and looking at her belly button ring. Tommy then looked at her notes and started to copy them, word for word. He smiled as he did this, she had some pretty good notes. Tommy watched her as she kept looking at him and smiled, he thought about her next question, "No, except for the fact that your boobs are kinda in the way of your notes so i can't copy them very well" he said. He was a bit surprised that it came out exatly like that, he meant to say it a little different, but he didn't care.

She looked surprised for a moment before recovering. "You know, you could have just asked." She leaned back a little and moved the notebook closer to him.

[Tommy]

"But that's no fun" he said smiling and finished copying the notes. He then scooted his desk closer to her every once and while, so he was right next to her. Then he pretended to yawn a bit and put his arm around the back of her chair, he was using the oldest trick in the book.

Alex smiled as she looked at his arm, and then looked at him. It was entertaining her thoroughly due to the fact that she really didn't act like a girl with guys. To most, she was just another one of the guys. It was nice to be felt of differently. She thought about asking why he thought he could do that when they had only just met, but she realized that she didn't mind. Alex shifted her weight so that she was leaning in her seat, leaning closer to him.

At the comment about the notes, she replied with "It's not all fun and games. Most, but not all."

"I like to make things fun" he said smiling as she leaned into him more. He wanted to smack a kiss right on her right there but decided not to, Tommy wasn't one to 'take it slow' ever with girls. He smiled at her again, leaning into her shoulder a bit with his.

Alex smiled at the comment and then scribbled something else down in her notes. Some girl right beside her leaned over and tapped her on the shoulder. "Um, you are committing a PDA. You know a public display of affection." She said like she wanted them to stop.

Alex leaned away for a moment to respond. She lowered her voice to a harsh whisper. "I don't C-A-R-E. You know care." She leaned back against Tommy again and went back to ignoring the other girl. She thought to herself She's just jealous.
