Kieran jogged out of the swinging doors into the courtyard, Symphony bouncing closing at his heels. She was jumping up at his every so often to gnaw at his left fist, in which she knew was concealed her favourite tennis ball.
He paused, hand raised to shield the sun from his eyes, and then caught sight of an area of unused grass that would be fine for their game. There was a girl sitting in the shade of a grand Oak tree near their spot, and he smiled with a friendly wave, calling out cheerfully, Hey! I promise we'll try not to hit ya, finishing with his normal charming, easy grin coming to mind.
Turning his attention to Symphony then, he held up the much coveted ball. She barked twice excitedly, paws dancing upon the grass lightly. Reaching his arms back, Kieran wound up and let loose with the ball, Symphony eagerly following its progress as she disappeared into the distance.
Grinning, Kieran tucked his hands loosely into his back pockets, rocking on his heels as he waited for her to return. Eyes searched the grounds, watching everyone interacting. First day of college was bound to bring some interesting events but with the evening falling now, he had plenty of free time to get to know the lay of the land here before his classes began the following day.
